1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sapient Edge website at sapiente.info and your engagement with any of our financial education services. Sapient Edge is operated by the business of the same name, registered in Singapore, with offices at 9 Straits View, #06-07, Marina One West Tower, Singapore 018937.

By accessing our website or enrolling in a programme, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be effective from the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our services following notification of updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Nature of Our Services

Sapient Edge offers financial education programmes designed to improve participants' understanding of personal finance concepts. Our services are educational in nature and do not constitute regulated financial advice, investment management, or any form of financial planning under Singapore law.

2.1 Educational Scope

The content delivered through our programmes — including written assessments, seminar sessions, advisory discussions, and strategy documents — is intended to build knowledge and inform your decision-making. It is not a directive to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.

2.2 Not Regulated Advice

Sapient Edge is not a licensed financial adviser under the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110) of Singapore, and we do not hold a Capital Markets Services Licence under the Securities and Futures Act. Nothing communicated during our programmes constitutes financial advice as defined under Singapore law.

2.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the financial decisions you make. We encourage all participants to seek guidance from a licensed financial professional before acting on any knowledge or framework discussed in our programmes. Sapient Edge does not accept liability for decisions made based on educational content delivered.

3. Enrolment and Payment

3.1 Enrolment Process

Enrolment in any Sapient Edge programme is completed by submitting an enquiry through our website and confirming your place following an introductory call with our team. A confirmed enrolment constitutes a binding agreement between you and Sapient Edge under these Terms.

3.2 Fees

Programme fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are payable in full prior to programme commencement unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in writing. Current fees are published on our website and are subject to change for future enrolments. Any changes will not affect confirmed bookings.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept bank transfer, PayNow, and other payment methods confirmed at the time of enrolment. Payment instructions will be provided following your confirmed booking.

4. Cancellation and Refunds

4.1 Cancellation by Participant

• More than 14 days before commencement: Full refund, less any payment processing fees incurred.
• 7 to 14 days before commencement: 50% refund of the programme fee.
• Fewer than 7 days before commencement: No refund. You may request a deferral to a future programme intake, subject to availability.
• After programme commencement: No refund for the remaining programme duration.

4.2 Cancellation by Sapient Edge

In the unlikely event that Sapient Edge needs to cancel a programme, you will receive a full refund of fees paid. We will provide as much notice as reasonably practicable and offer alternative dates where possible.

4.3 Session Rescheduling

Individual consultation and advisory sessions may be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be forfeited unless exceptional circumstances apply, at our discretion.

5. Confidentiality

Sapient Edge treats all financial and personal information shared by participants as strictly confidential. We do not share, sell, or disclose participant data to third parties, except where required by law or with your explicit consent. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

Equally, programme materials — including written assessments, frameworks, model analyses, and strategy documents — are provided for your personal use only and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or shared without prior written consent from Sapient Edge.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sapient Edge website — including text, graphics, logos, and educational materials — is the intellectual property of Sapient Edge and is protected under applicable Singapore law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.

Programme-specific deliverables (such as your personal finance assessment or strategy document) are prepared for your use and remain your property once delivered. The underlying frameworks, methodologies, and templates used to generate those deliverables remain the property of Sapient Edge.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sapient Edge and its facilitators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses or damages arising from:

• Financial decisions made by participants based on knowledge or frameworks covered in our programmes.
• Inaccuracies in information provided by participants that affect the quality or applicability of programme content.
• Any interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of our website or services beyond our reasonable control.
• Market movements, investment outcomes, or changes in financial regulation occurring after programme delivery.

Our total liability to you in connection with any programme shall not exceed the fees paid by you for that programme.

8. Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict the use and enjoyment of the site by any third party.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw access to the website at any time without notice.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between you and Sapient Edge.

If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre before pursuing any other legal remedy. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any unresolved disputes.
